Highway 25 in Morrison County open to all travelers
BAXTER, Minn. – The Minnesota Department of Transportation is excited to announce that Highway 25 in Morrison County, is open to all travelers and the detour is lifted.
This marks the completion of the three-month project that resurfaced and updated 14 miles of Highway 25 north and south of Pierz.
Highway 25 project highlights:
- Resurfaced 14 miles of asphalt road from the Morrison/Crow Wing County line at 175th Street to north of Pierz at 4th Avenue, and from the south junction of Highway 27 at Pierz/Genola to 123rd Street south of Genola
- Replaced underground pipes and three bridges (box culverts) over the Platte River and Wolf Creek
- Installed new guardrail, rumble strips and road markings
The $7.3 million project provides a smoother driving surface, updated drainage systems and increased safety for motorists.
MnDOT thanks the community and traveling public for their continued patience throughout construction and the detours.
