MnDOT to host Oct. 27 public meeting on Highway 169 St. Peter project
MANKATO, Minn. – The Minnesota Department of Transportation will hold a public meeting Monday, Oct. 27 from 4:30 to 6:30 p.m. at the St. Peter Community Center, 600 South 5th Street, to share updates on the Highway 169 St. Peter project planned for 2028 construction.
No formal presentation is planned, and attendees may arrive at any time. MnDOT staff will be available to provide project information, including an overview of roadway improvements, aesthetics, and coordination with the City of St. Peter on utility work.
A significant pavement fix is planned on Highway 169 from Broadway Avenue to Union Street. In addition to replacing the pavement, the roadway will be reconfigured so the shoulders, turn lanes, and median widths match other sections of Highway 169 through St. Peter, similar to the segment by Minnesota Square Park. This reconfiguration will provide better traffic flow and safer highway access.
