About the measures

The variability in annual aviation accident and fatality data reflects the rarity of these events. Aviation crashes fatalities make up a very small portion of all transportation crashes and fatalities.

- Applying proven strategies to reduce fatalities and serious injuries for all mode.
- Fostering a culture of transportation safety in Minnesota."

Where we want to go

The MnDOT Office of Aeronautics provides airport inspections, airport improvement grants, and technologies which increase airport safety throughout the state. MnDOT updates Minnesota’s State Aviation System Plan (SASP) at regular intervals. The SASP sets goals for the aviation system, identify aviation needs, and creates a direction for the future.
